Building A Brand
CTS contacted us to help them refresh their tired and outdated brand identity. Although the CTS brand has served them well over the years, they felt now was the time to bring it up to date. We wanted to offer a solution that would easily keep communications on brand and consistent throughout every touchpoint.
We started by conducting a stakeholder questionnaire and task analysis workshop to understand what CTS really stood for and worked together with senior management to develop the CTS mission, visions, and values. As togetherness and integrity were at the core of this family-run business, we ensured that everything we produced would exceed expectations and gain trust from employees and clients alike.
We changed the corporate colours from red and black to soften the mood, capital letters were changed to lowercase and the shelter icon separated from the letter ‘t’ to improve legibility. The chosen typeface was less ‘boxy’ and contained more curves to make the identity more friendly and approachable. A brand kit was produced that included all design elements, logo packs, typeface files and icon set.
The final part of this project was completed by creating a mobile responsive content managed website that the client could easily update with news, views and events. We created a site plan and low-fi visuals for approval before developing the site. A jobs board application was integrated to improve site performance and return rates. The site was quickly turned around and deployed in a matter of weeks with SEO implemented to boost search rankings.
